(Jeremiah 33:3)
Do you ever think there are times when we ask
God for something and He either says no or not yet because He’s waiting for us
take ownership of it, believing in ourselves first instead of asking God to
believe in us when He is the one who created us and He knows our potential, but
it’s us who do not? (Jeremiah 29:11)
For most of my life, my dad’s answer to me
was NO. Well, senior year in college (5th year) and 21 years later,
I decided that I was not going to accept his NO anymore. I believed in myself
even if He didn’t. I knew what I could do and it was no longer about proving
myself to him, but to me. I was worth it, I could do it and I didn’t need his
approval. Why did I wait so long to start making my own decisions but allowing
others to dictate who I was and who I am or was to be? It was that day that
made the difference in my life that I could be or do anything I wanted to once
I made up my mind to do it. (Philippians 4:13)
Sometimes, God is waiting on us, not the other way
around.
